Hi, I’m Sarah
I've been a Social Worker for 18 years and am a late identified AuDHD woman.
Before working in the area of neuroaffirming support, I was a therapist and educator in the areas of Mental Health, Education, and Private Practice. Most of my working life I was an unidentified neurodivergent person - I truly know what it is to feel unable to be my true self at work (or being myself at times - and feeling misunderstood/confused).
Consequently, I've experienced burn out several times. Learning about myself and my needs has been transformational.
I now enjoy an authentic sustainable professional practice that I LOVE.
I'm grateful for the shift in my practice that means I actually get to be me at work.
More importantly, my capacity to genuine connect and meet my clients where they are at - and walk besides them along their journey whilst seeing them achieve their goals, has increased exponentially.
I enjoy guiding others to discover their own authentic, sustainable and highly effective practice.
This webinar is for you if you:
Are committed to neuroaffirming practice
Feel limited in your practice (sometimes frustrated) and not seeing the outcomes you wish for
Find neurobiology fascinating and would love to know more - to better understand yourself and your clients
Recognise that your tertiary education didn’t fully equip you for the complexity of this work (and was mostly based on working with neurotypical folk)
Sometimes you wish you had mind-reading skills when working with your neurodivergent clients
Feel unsure how to educate parents in relation to regulation and communication with their children (and wish there was a simple way to do so)
Are ready to embrace more of who you truly are in your work - and let go of ‘performing’ professionalism to the detriment of your own fulfilment and well-being
Wonder about the effectiveness of therapy sessions/the standard approach to therapy for neurodivergent children
Feel pressured to perform in alignment with the goals and expectations set by the NDIS or Education system (or your employer)
Are neurodivergent or neuro-curious and want to better understand yourself, trust in your own brilliance and model self-acceptance to your clients
